Thanks everyone who helped organise yesterday, it was great! As usual, I seem to have lost my scarf and gloves - if anyone finds a stray red wooly scarf/gloves, can you give me a shout?
For some reason I spent an hour sitting freezing in wet jeans today before i noticed there was actually a heater.

We had the blood donation clinic set up in the Astra hall a few weeks ago Jane, most the club couldnt give bloody due to being in Malaria countries, piercings and the like(ie Chlamys blood which was non existent) so im not sure how many in UCD are still eligible

I love UCD. Except that now I have a throat infection. Yous are fun but dirrrty. I don't rememeber any of Dandelion except Pauric being VERY smiley, Sigs bawling, Trish being moody(too soon!?), Darron being tall, and the Italians being rude. Playing 'Pass the "7up"' in the taxi was gas but could one of the players have been the disease carrier?! Who Knows? Who Cares? Tune in next time!

Colours routines and dates are being revised at the moment. The routines will probably be an option between the normal one and something a bit different. I'll post more info as soon as we have it.

also on sat night me ryan and shady got kicked of the pole cause we were being to dangerous i don't see how we just stood on the balcony part and jumped onto the pole also they proceeded to dance on a table but before that ryan had to clear the table by throwing the glasses on the ground ha ha ha

David feel asleep standing up against a pillar on sat night, he also licked the neck of everyone who was there&nearly got killed when he kept knocking ppl over on the dance floor. Ems arm nearly got broken when this girl knock her over on the stairs&now she has a big bump. Darron left dandeline at 1.50approx and got home at 4.30ish while driving...wierd huh? barry recreate his drink spilling look by standing in the rain. Shady,knux&shivers went pole dancing in down under. clare and jaydog had a good night- Jaydogs 3 night out ala UCD in as many days...holler! chris got lost on grafton st &had no credit&loadsa ppl picked up christmas presents for there mums of stylish TGI glasses, they r a little heay in the hand bag tho&some found them easier to haid ethen other, those of u who didnt get away with them shud ask ems for tips...she really is a pro at this stage. must get back to work...holler

So I'm sure everyone knows by know that we're having the Christmas Tramply fun day next week, Wednesday the 6th... The plan at the moment is to have

-fun bouncing (time to be confirmed...about 2-4ish) followed by
-ICE SKATING (planning on going to the 5.30pm-6.30pm session in the RDS) and then
-an awesome party in Darron's house afterwards( which will be deadly! note to newbies: ring me if you need directions )

Everyone is invited
You can always come join us for some part of the day if you can't make it to the whole day. Ice Skating has to be booked in advance so if you can let me know by tomorrow if you def wanna come You can text me 0879043875 or email me shanghainoons@gmail.com or else just join us on the day and see if theres any places left.
Since we've to pay in advance if everyone thats coming could bring their €10 to training tomorrow (Thursday) or let me know if you can't make it Thursday but still want me to book you a place for ice skating.

Scotland accomodation is all booked and paid for now. Were staying in the Dundee Central Travelodge on the Thurs, Fri and Sat night and then heading to Edinburgh on the Sunday and staying in the Caledonian Backpackers.

Prices:This includes accomodation, night out tickets and entry fee(T-shirts will be extra, and optional, but we havent gotten any info on their prices yet)
Thurs- Mon: 55euro
Fri- Mon: 40euro
Fri- Sun: 30euro

Money is due in on the 8th of December and can be paid any day at training, if its not in at this stage you may lose your place as we have to cancel any accomodation not needed then.
Could people who are booking their own flights let us know what days they are defo coming so that we can be sure we have enough accomodation booked.
Also could people who still owe for flights bring in their money asap as people need to pay off their credit card bills!!

Oh and dont forget Siobhan is organising an amazing Christmas day out on the 6th of Dec. We're staying in Travelodge in Dundee Central on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday and we're staying in Edinburgh on the Sunday. The other Irish colleges are gonna try to get rooms there too, but if they can't they're gonna stay in the other Travelodge in Dundee. We're squeezing 4 people into family rooms so it's not working out too expensive.

Who's the girl u know? We got loads of really good craic ones who joined this year, although we didnt really have as big a crowd as we would have liked at varsities but we had an amazin time so hopefully we'll have a massif crowd going to Scotland. Have u's somewhere to stay yet? Gavin says accomodations hard to come by!!!

We're gonna aim to be in Cork in time to hijack UCC's training at 5. If we get there a lot sooner than that we may have time to stop and drop our stuff off in the hostel. I wouldn't count on that though, so make sure you have training gear easily accessible.

Alas full in - rudi out (t) is not the most difficult move done on the UCD beds. It's only worth 1.5 (the value of the intermediate routine) I have done triff (t) and full full (s) both worth 1.6 and Mark Alexander for Middelsex has done both triff (p) and Miller (s) both worth 1.8. Still, I think the move looks way more impressive than its more valuable counterparts. Roll on miller!

For those of you who have been looking at Pauric on the trampoline and wondering to yourself: "What the hell??" as you felt dizzy just looking at him, here's the answer.

He has being doing Full-in Rudi-out! Not sure what that is? look it up in the sport tech section.

Anyway this is arguably one of the hardest moves ever done at our club, on our trampolines, so to comemarate the occasion we have put a video of it up on the funstuff section.

What is Chlamydia?
Bacteria causes chlamydia.

How is Chlamydia passed on?
Having sex with someone who is infected.
A mother to her baby at birth
Occasionally, by transferring the infection on fingers from genitals to eyes
Symptoms


In Women

Most women who are infected by chlamydia will have no symptoms at all.
Possible symptoms are:

A slight increase in vaginal discharge - caused by the cervix becoming inflamed
A need to pass urine more often or pain when passing urine. Lower abdominal pain.
Pain during sex.
Irregular menstrual bleeding.
Painful swelling or irritation in the eyes.
In Men

Men are more likely to notice symptoms than women. But they may not notice any either. Possible symptoms include:
Discharge from the penis, which may be white, cloudy and watery and stain underwear.
A painful swelling and irritation in the eyes. (if they are infected)
Complications
In women

Left untreated in women, chlamydia can spread to the womb and fallopian tubes. Infection here can eventually lead to pain, blockages and infertility. If a women has chlamydia when she is pregnant she risks having an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the womb)or premature birth. The infection is passed on to the baby giving it an eye or lung infection. Chlamydia can also lead to chronic {long-term) pelvic pain.
In men

Complications caused by Chlamydia in men are uncommon. It may however lead to painful inflammation of the testicles, which cause infertility.
Treatment
Special antibiotics need to be taken for at least a week
Prevention
Condoms can prevent vaginal and anal spread. Care is needed to avoid passing it by the fingers to the eyes.

Haven't looked into lifts yet, might just take the 1pm aircoach which will get into cork around 5, the best time you'll make to Cork it 3.5 hours so its only half an hour extra for the aircoach and the ticket:fuel cost with lifts is pretty much the same

Not sure if this was mentioned already, but if your going to CAVAN you sould prob bring a bowl, plate and some cutlery as well as some toilet roll and alcohol (in case any/all of the above run out). A sleeping bag & pillow comes in handy if some of you feel like sleep. Also earplugs too. And a halloween costume!

CAVAN

So the fun-tastic weekend of madness is almost upon us!!!! YAY!!! The Cavan weekend is undoubtedly one of THE highlights of the tramp year, and a weekend you will not want to miss!!! If you've already signed up & paid then that's super BUT for those of you who don't yet have a place we now have a few EXTRA PLACES AVAILABLE. So if you haven't already got your place all you have to do is come down to training tomorrow (Thursday) to sign up for one of the last remaining places. We will collect all money still owed for Cavan at training tomorrow! So if you haven't paid, remember its €35, and we need you to bring it to training tomorrow!


INTERVARSITIES

The first competition of the year is Intervarsities. This year they're taking place in Cork, the weekend of 17-19 November. You'll find all the details for the weekend on the Competitions page of the website www.ucdtramp.com
The weekend will be subsidised by the club so the cost works out: for three nights (Thurs, Fri & Sat) max. €40 and for two nights (Fri & Sat) max. €30; this includes your accommodation, competition t-shirt, night out ticket
