Scottish Student Trampolining Open

The SSTO is being held in the atrociously hard to get to Aberdeen this year, in Robert Gordon University. UCD will be there over the weekend from 19th to the 23rd of February. Check out some of the photos from our previous ventures to the home of the Kilt:

Weekend Line-up

The line up of events is as follows:

Thursday 19th February

  • We will meet in Dublin Airport at 7.00am. Our flight (FR182) leaves at 9.20am.
  • We're due to arrive in Aberdeen Airport at 10.30am.
  • From there we get the bus to Aberdeen City Centre
  • Once we have checked into the hostel, people can do as they like for the rest of the day.
  • For those who stick around there will be pizza hut
  • We will be heading out you'll know where soon enough

Friday 20th February

  • People will be free to wander around Aberdeen for the day. Some people will probably be going diving or ice-skating
  • Registration begins at 5:00pm
  • 5:00 - 7:00 pm: Training/Warm-up session
  • 8pm til close: Vodka Revolution, 25 Belmont Street, Aberdeen

  • Headstart drinks from 5pm --- 10pm

Saturday 21st February

  • 9am COMPETITION
  • 5.30pm (Hopefully) wraps everything up and head home to trowel on the make up!
  • 8pm til 3am. Venue: Tiger Tiger, 1-2 Shiprow (off Union Street), Aberdeen
  • 9.30pm til 11.30pm - Ceilidh
  • 11.30pm til 3am- DJ til close

Sunday 22nd February

  • 10.30am Synchro Serious Competition Starts
  • Afternoon - Synchro Fancy Dress

Monday 23rd February

  • Get up at some insane hour (6 ish?) Why so early? cause by now someone has lost their passport
  • Get kicked out of hostel (but not really)
  • High tail it to Aberdeen Airport until its time to get our flight at 10.55 (FR183) be at Dublin airport around 12.05

Accomodation

We are staying at the Scottish Youth Hostel, 8 Queens Road, Aberdeen, right in the City Centre

The cost is as follows - (for those competing):
4 nights - 60 Euro
3 nights - 50 Euro
2 nights - 40 Euro
For those not competing:
4 nights - 93 Euro
3 nights - 73 Euro
2 nights - 53 Euro

Note Ryanair's flight policy:

    Entries

    Entry fees will be paid for by the club provided you actually compete. Anyone who doesn't compete (without a good reason and no, hangovers don't count) will have to pay their entry fees, along with all other amounts subsidised by the club. Everone is competing in their own competition as an individual. Should anyone do well enough in the individual competitions, their score shall be counted towards our overall Univeristy score (much like the way it was in colours so anyone's score can count). If you are on a team, your score will also count towards the 'team' competition. For the team comp basically we nominate people to be on a set team and 3 of the 4 scores count per team. So individuals, the team and the club en masse can win medals. There are some other parts to the competition that we, not being Scottish, are not eligable for. If you happen to find a degree from a Scottish University in your back pocket let Fergal know and he'll be sure to adjust your entry! People are entered in the following categories:
